Art For All

Coordinator: Kath Keefe

We really do mean ‘Art for All’ – every type of medium: oils, acrylic, water colour, pencils, chalks, pastel – you name it, we do it. In fact from someone who has never picked up a paint brush, except to do the ceiling, to quite accomplished artists, there is definitely room for you.

If you need help there is always someone there. You can go at your own pace, no one will rush you into anything. We have exhibitions where we encourage people to enter work which builds confidence and stretches us to try something different. You would be surprised at some of the work that was turned out for our last exhibition; we sold ten paintings, some from folk who had never done anything like this before.

We also do greetings cards, parchment craft, decoupage and knitting patterns are also in demand. However maybe there is something that you want to do that would be new to us. Well just bring it along. How’s that for a “Do it yourself group”!It isn’t all heads down and hard work – we do have a laugh. You will find us a very friendly and caring group.

How to get involved

So if time is heavy on your hands and you want a good afternoon out, come and give us a try. We have plenty of painting equipment for you to use or, of course, you can bring your own gear. We also have trips out from time to time.

We are open on Wednesdays 2-4pm and you do not need to be a member of the church to join us.
