Prayer Triplets were first launched in England a quarter of a century ago but that wasn’t the start – they are found in the Bible.
In Exodus 17 we read about Aaron and Hur lifting up Moses’ arms so that all three of them were engaged in prayer as Joshua fought the battle against the Amalekites. In Daniel 2 we find Daniel asking his three friends Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego to pray for the interpretation of Nebuchadnezzar’s dream. Peter, James and John were a triplet of pray-ers that Jesus took with him on two assignments – first on the Mount of Transfiguration and second in the Garden of Gethsemane. Interestingly on both occasions they fell asleep! But Jesus still persisted with them and they got the message.
Jesus said, ‘Where two or three come together in my name, there I am with them.’ So we encourage every member of Holy Trinity to be part of Prayer Triplet. For more information contact the church office.
